Job Summary
This role is a PhD project focused on translational immunometabolism within a leading university hospital setting. The successful candidate will investigate the impact of obesity, weight loss, and novel metabolic therapies on antiviral T-cell immunity. Day-to-day tasks involve performing high-dimensional flow cytometry and metabolic assays to characterize human virus-specific T-cell responses and define functional and metabolic phenotypes of T-cells. The role requires analyzing immunological and clinical cohort data, collaborating closely with clinicians and international partners, and presenting/publishing results in high-impact journals. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree in Immunology, Biology, or a related field, strong interest in T-cell biology and immunometabolism, and excellent English communication skills.
