Job Summary
This Senior IT System Administrator role is critical for shaping the digital administration of tomorrow within a foundation responsible for implementing key environmental laws (WEEE and Battery legislation). The successful candidate will join the Internal IT Services team, focusing on the operation and continuous development of a modern, efficient, and user-friendly IT infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include the administration and monitoring of the server and client landscape, maintenance and enhancement of the existing network infrastructure, and management of crucial backup and restore procedures. A significant part of the role involves providing technical support, acting as an internal consultant on IT and information security matters, and leading IT projects from conception, planning, and coordination through execution. This position requires extensive professional experience, strong project management skills, and the initiative to tackle complex IT challenges with fresh thinking and decisive action.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (or University of Applied Sciences degree) in Information Technology, Informatics, Business Informatics, Information Security, Physics, Mathematics, or related field with an IT focus, or proven equivalent skills and experience.
Experience
- Long-term professional experience in the specified areas of IT system administration and infrastructure management
- Experience in technical leadership, for example, through managing larger projects
- Coordination experience within an organizational cross-sectional unit (Advantageous)
