Job Summary

This role seeks a Lead Engineer to strengthen the local PowerGrid Team in Linz, focusing on ensuring reliable grid operation and power distribution. Day-to-day responsibilities include executing switching operations across high, medium, and low voltage networks, coordinating maintenance activities, and managing the programming and visualization of the control technology (Electrical Fault System). The engineer will independently design protection parameters for various voltage levels (e.g., transformer, motor, and generator protection) and handle network planning for performance enhancements. Key qualifications include a completed technical education in Electrical Engineering, several years of professional experience in medium and low voltage technology, and specialized knowledge in protection and control technology. Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training or HTL (Higher Technical Institute) in Electrical Engineering. Required certifications: Switching authorization for high-voltage systems, Working under voltage, Electrical protection measures.

Experience

  • Professional experience in medium and low voltage technology (preferred)
  • Experience in maintenance of low and medium voltage equipment
  • Experience in project implementation related to high, medium, and low voltage equipment (EOL, PFC, CAPEX)

Additional

  • Responsible for managing and administering billing and energy meters and the cost center matrix for electricity billing to third parties. Responsible for implementing projects related to high, medium, and low voltage equipment. Must manage Synergi-Cases (Risks, MOC).
