Job Summary
This role is vital for the expansion of next-generation infrastructure, focusing on planning and managing the rollout of fiber optic networks within the Coburg region. Day-to-day responsibilities include comprehensive network planning for broadband projects, customer connections, and backbone expansion, coupled with rigorous construction supervision and management. The Planner/Construction Manager will also be responsible for budget oversight, ensuring project documentation is accurately maintained in network management software, and coordinating internal teams and external service providers. Candidates should possess a Master Craftsman or Technician qualification with extensive knowledge in telecommunications and fiber optic expansion, or an equivalent technical education combined with several years of professional experience. Experience with fusion splicing, OTDR measuring devices, and fiber optic cable blowing is advantageous, making this a hands-on, impactful role crucial for regional connectivity.
Required Skills
Education
Master Craftsman (Meister) or Technician qualification in telecommunications/fiber optic expansion, or a completed technical education in this field.
Experience
- Professional experience in telecommunications/fiber optic expansion (required if no Meister/Techniker qualification)
- Experience with fusion splicing and OTDR measuring devices (advantageous)
- Experience in blowing fiber optic cables (advantageous)
