Job Summary

This role involves providing essential IT support for a leading regional food retailer, focusing primarily on the maintenance and operation of Point of Sale (POS) systems and EC terminals across multiple branches. The specialist will be responsible for setting up, installing, and maintaining POS hardware and software, managing master data, and performing troubleshooting both remotely and on-site. A key component is providing competent telephone support to branch teams regarding POS system queries and assisting with various IT projects. Candidates must possess basic knowledge of IT/EDP, technical understanding, a driver's license, and the willingness to travel within the Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and Baden-Württemberg regions. The position requires participation in a rotating 24/7 on-call hotline schedule for system disturbances, offering a secure, fixed-term position within a successful and growing company.
