Job Summary

This critical role involves leading the wet chemistry production areas within precious metal recycling in Hanau, taking full personnel responsibility, and developing the team according to Heraeus's supply chain and leadership principles. The Operations Manager will ensure compliance with all local, international, and internal Heraeus guidelines to guarantee the safe operation of all business units. Key responsibilities include managing the areas to achieve high-efficiency standards, ensuring operational excellence, and intensely collaborating with planning, sales, and production cost centers across the entire recycling division. The successful candidate will coordinate projects and processes within the wet chemical areas (Alkaline Digestion and Recycling, and Precious Metal Refining), and drive global knowledge transfer between recycling sites. A university degree in a chemical or technical field, ideally with a doctorate, and proven leadership experience in chemistry or precious metal recycling are essential for success.
