Job Summary

This role involves providing independent electrical and control system support for high-tech production facilities at the Knorr plant in Heilbronn, which has a 175-year history. The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving electrical faults, replacing defective components (sensors, actuators, controls), and setting up new machinery and production lines. Key tasks include adapting control programs, collaborating with production, mechanics, and IT teams, and performing planned and unplanned maintenance. The ideal candidate must have a completed qualification in electrical engineering or mechatronics, expertise in PLC controls (Elau, S7, Beckhoff), and be prepared to work in a three-shift system, including weekend on-call duties. This is a crucial role ensuring the continuous and safe operation of complex packaging and process systems within a globally connected supply chain.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electrical Specialist or Mechatronics Specialist (or comparable training with a focus on Electrical Engineering)

Experience

  • Professional experience in maintenance of machines and assemblies, preferably packaging and process systems
  • Several years of professional experience in operational and plant technology (Desirable)
