Job Summary

The Head of Automation Department will take full responsibility for the automation division in Düren, providing both technical and disciplinary leadership while fostering team development and ensuring structured operations. A core focus of this role involves the comprehensive management of all automation projects, ensuring quality, adherence to deadlines, and budget control across all phases. Day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining critical software standards for PLC and robot systems, collaborating closely with design and project management teams on holistic automation concepts, and supporting system commissioning both internally and externally. The ideal candidate holds a degree in a relevant engineering field (Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation) and possesses several years of professional experience in PLC programming, particularly within special machine or plant construction. Expertise in Siemens TIA Portal, S7, and various robot programming environments is essential, coupled with proven leadership and strong analytical decision-making skills.
