Job Summary

This role involves advising customers on all aspects of Statutory Health Insurance (GKV) with an international connection, such as those living abroad or near the border. Day-to-day tasks include assessing complex insurance situations, processing and reimbursing claims for services performed abroad (e.g., medical treatments during vacation or remedies), and settling accounts with foreign health insurance providers. You will also support foreign tourists who fall ill while in Germany. A key focus is proactive process improvement and embracing digital, agile working methods to enhance the customer experience under the 'Lebensverbesserer' (Life Improver) vision. The ideal candidate brings completed vocational training (such as Social Insurance Specialist or Medical Assistant) and relevant professional experience in the GKV benefits or insurance sector. This fixed-term position, based in Duisburg until June 30, 2028, offers significant scope for contributing ideas and working autonomously within a dynamic, supportive team environment.
