Job Summary

This role is a crucial opportunity for an experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex control and regulation systems, specifically tailored for industrial furnace plants and their peripheral equipment. Day-to-day tasks involve programming and commissioning PLC controls and visualization systems, conducting rigorous software testing prior to shipment, and overseeing international system start-ups. You will also be responsible for documenting systems according to CE requirements and coordinating external automation partners. The position requires a background in Electrical Engineering (degree or Technician qualification) and multi-year professional experience in heavy machinery or plant construction. Success in this role depends on possessing strong technical knowledge in system documentation (adhering to CE standards), CAD, and Production Planning and Control Systems (PPS), alongside excellent communication skills and the flexibility to travel extensively both domestically and abroad for commissioning projects.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering OR Advanced training as a Technician specializing in Electrical Engineering

Experience

  • Multi-year professional experience in heavy machinery and plant construction, ideally in furnace construction
  • Professional experience in the design, construction, calculation, and commissioning of industrial plants
  • Experience in hazard analysis and the design of safety-related facilities
