Job Summary
This role involves actively shaping and implementing IT security and data protection strategies within the school sector in Nuremberg. The successful candidate will be responsible for both strategic and operational IT security, including implementing security standards, managing incidents, and conducting regular risk assessments. Key responsibilities also include advising, informing, and training stakeholders on IT security and data protection, and collaborating closely with various city departments to ensure a comprehensive security concept. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a secure, data protection-compliant, and future-proof digital educational landscape, working in a dynamic team with a focus on both daily operations and challenging IT projects.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's or Diploma (FH) in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or Civil Servant (3rd QE / Higher Service, Natural Science and Technology - Administration Informatics), or Civil Servant (3rd QE / Higher Service, Administration and Finance), or Administrative Specialist (Fachprüfung II). Certifications in IT security and/or data protection are also required.
Experience
- At least two years of relevant professional experience if holding non-degree qualifications (e.g., IT Specialist)
- At least three years of relevant professional experience if holding a qualification as a Civil Servant (3rd QE / Higher Service, Administration and Finance) or Administrative Specialist (Fachprüfung II)

Additional
- Willingness for continuous self-education, on-call duty for acute IT security incidents (including weekend/evening work if needed), resilience during acute IT security incidents.
