Job Summary

This role involves transferring and scaling molecular biology methods from research into routine-ready applications within the world's largest HLA tissue typing laboratory, DKMS Life Science Lab, dedicated to finding stem cell donors for blood cancer patients. The Research Scientist will independently plan, conduct, document, and analyze complex laboratory experiments, focusing heavily on molecular biology techniques like PCR and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS). A key responsibility includes performing technical validation of new methods regarding sensitivity, specificity, and robustness, and developing monitoring assays for routine workflows. The ideal candidate holds a university degree or PhD in biology or biochemistry, possesses extensive hands-on experience with molecular techniques, and demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Required Skills

Education
