Job Summary
This role involves the independent operation and control of a fully automated combined heat and power plant (Heizkraftwerk) utilizing modern equipment at the Diemelstadt-Wrexen site. The Power Plant Operator will be responsible for monitoring the process control system, conducting regular inspections of boiler, gas turbine, and water treatment facilities, and ensuring strict compliance with emissions limits and water quality standards within the water-steam cycle. A crucial part of the job includes performing Electrical, Measurement, Control, and Regulation (EMSR) work, troubleshooting faults, and executing maintenance and optimization measures. Candidates must have a background as an Electronics Technician for Industrial or Automation Technology and either possess or be willing to obtain a Basic Boiler Attendant certification. Required Skills
Education
Completed apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Technology, Automation Technology, or comparable; Completed Basic Boiler Attendant Course or willingness to complete it.
Experience
- Professional experience in monitoring and controlling power plant operations
- Experience performing EMSR work on power plant technical systems
- Ideally, experience handling the Siemens PCS7 process control system
- Experience in documenting operational, maintenance, and fault measures
