Job Summary

This role involves supporting the IT infrastructure for the Studentenwerk Freiberg, focusing on maintaining PCs, servers, and telecommunications systems. The IT Specialist will be responsible for setting up and maintaining computer systems, monitoring network activity, ensuring data security, and managing backup systems. A key aspect of the job is providing direct technical support to employees regarding IT issues and acting as the primary contact for student networks in residential halls. Candidates should possess a qualification in IT system integration, expertise in technical management, hardware/software systems, and specific knowledge of Linux server and network administration.
