Job Summary
This role involves supporting and guiding visitors of all ages through their creative and technical projects within the innovative Maker Space at experimenta, Germany's largest Science Center. Key responsibilities include organizing and conducting workshops, developing new content and concepts, and ensuring the successful completion of complex, long-term visitor projects. The ideal candidate possesses a technical background (e.g., IT, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design) and practical knowledge of project management and educational methods. They must be self-motivated to master new technical areas, such as 3D printing, robotics, or woodworking, and possess the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences. This is a full-time position, initially covering parental leave, requiring working hours from Tuesday to Saturday, including evenings and some holidays, to support a vibrant community of tinkerers and creators.
Required Skills
Education
Technical degree (e.g., Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Media Design) or comparable qualification
Experience
- Practical knowledge in project management
- Experience in pedagogical areas (e.g., youth work, adult education)
- Experience in creating social media content (advantageous)

- Must be willing to work Tuesday through Saturday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM (13:30 to 22:00), including holidays. The position is initially a parental leave replacement.
