Job Summary

Join Fraunhofer FFB as a Research Associate, contributing to the cutting-edge field of battery cell production digitalization. In this role, you will focus on connecting data sources like production plants and sensors with higher-level systems such as IIoT platforms. Your day-to-day will involve developing infrastructure to link services and systems, enabling innovative approaches for digitized production. You'll also work on novel scientific methods and tools for scaling digitized production processes, including modern production control systems, and collaborate with departments and external partners to create digital twins for battery cell manufacturing. This position offers the opportunity to acquire and manage national and international industrial and research projects, driving the advancement of battery cell production for Germany and Europe. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in engineering or computer science, initial experience with machine interfaces, and good software development skills.
