Job Summary
This role involves supporting the Institute for Viticulture and Oenology team at the Rural Service Center Rheinpfalz in a fixed-term research project focused on the microbiological stabilization of dealcoholized wines, sparkling wines, and organic wines. The Technical Assistant will be responsible for the quantification of microorganisms in must and wine, including preparing nutrient media, conducting sterile controls, determining CFU, and performing microscopic identification. A core part of the job involves coordinating sample collection and utilizing computer-based methods for data evaluation and interpretation. The ideal candidate must possess a background as a Biological-Technical Assistant or equivalent, deep knowledge of microbiology, and strong organizational skills to handle investigations independently and flexibly within a team environment.
Required Skills
Education
Biological-Technical Assistant (BTA) qualification or comparable qualification
Experience
- In-depth knowledge and experience regarding microbiology
- Experience in molecular biological diagnostics
- Experience in the determination of microorganisms (advantageous)

- This is a fixed-term project position until February 28, 2028, at 50% working time (part-time). The position is located at the Rural Service Center Rheinpfalz in Neustadt an der Weinstraße.
