Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Process Engineer passionate about driving challenging technical projects in the petrochemical industry, based in Hamburg. The core responsibilities involve the comprehensive technical execution of process design assignments, spanning from initial conception through basic and detailed engineering, procurement support, and final commissioning. Day-to-day tasks include creating critical process calculations, simulations (including energy and mass balances), and producing precise technical documentation such as P&IDs, flow diagrams, and equipment data sheets. A significant component of the role is ensuring plant safety by participating in safety reviews like HAZOP procedures and adhering to relevant DIN/ISO standards. Candidates must possess a degree in Process Engineering and several years of experience in chemical or petrochemical plant construction. Expertise in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus/HYSYS), P&ID design, and the sizing of equipment (pumps, compressors) is essential for success in optimizing plant performance and energy efficiency. The position offers an unlimited contract and the opportunity to contribute significantly to plant modifications, expansions, and new construction projects.
