Job Summary
This role is for a Bio Operator in the chemical/pharmaceutical sector, focusing on the production of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating process-specific chromatography and cassette systems, performing various filtrations, and preparing buffer solutions on a production scale. Key duties also include cleaning, equipping, and sterilizing process equipment, as well as maintaining meticulous GMP-compliant batch documentation, primarily through electronic manufacturing software. This position requires a strong understanding of hygienic work practices, good organizational skills, and a willingness to work in a 3-shift system, including weekends and holidays, within a dynamic pharmaceutical production environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Bio-worker, Production Specialist for Biotechnology/Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technician, Chemical Technician, or related fields in large-scale production; or a scientific education with relevant experience; or a comparable qualification (e.g., Brewer, Maltster, Dairy Specialist, Baker, Fruit Juice Technology Specialist, Mechatronics Technician) with several years of professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in large-scale production, ideally in a GMP environment
- Experience with electronic manufacturing software (BioMES) and paper documentation

- Willingness to work in a 3-shift system (early/late/night shifts) including weekend and holiday work; Physical ability to lift loads between approximately 15 kg to 30 kg.
