Job Summary
This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a background in automotive engineering, ready to take ownership of critical vehicle components. As the Automotive Component Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end project coordination, ensuring adherence to cost, quality, and schedule requirements. Key daily tasks include coordinating with the development department and suppliers regarding component specifications, managing change scopes, and documenting release recommendations. You will actively review technical documents such as specifications, CAD models, and supplier drawings, manage bills of materials, and present development status updates to various committees. Success requires a degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) and extensive experience in component management and the automotive sector, coupled with strong communication and assertiveness skills.
