Job Summary

This role involves taking ownership of customer-specific Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) projects, managing them independently from initial technical clarification through to complete engineering design. The Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining CAD and 3D models, deriving dispositive bills of materials, and ensuring quality, deadlines, and cost adherence while considering manufacturing and shipping processes. Key requirements include a degree (Bachelor's or Master's) or a relevant technical qualification (Master Craftsman or Technician) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields, coupled with professional experience in GIS environments. Success in this role demands strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, excellent communication skills for coordinating with international contacts and project management, and proficiency in English for global project coordination.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree, or Master Craftsman (Meister) or Technician (Techniker) qualification with relevant professional experience

Experience

  • Professional experience in gas-insulated switchgear environments, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or comparable fields
  • Experience in implementing customer-specific technical requirements for GIS switchgear
  • Experience in technical project coordination, including international meetings
