Job Summary

This role involves developing and enhancing a high-performance booking and ticketing platform for a valued partner of Deutsche Bahn, focusing on complex booking and payment processes within a modern Microservice architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Microservices backends in a Cloud environment, designing robust and scalable technical components, and ensuring the highest quality standards through test-driven development and comprehensive testing (performance and load tests). A key focus is the transition to a Cloud architecture utilizing CI/CD and test automation. The position requires a Lead Developer background with expertise in Java EE, DevOps, and specific tools like Docker, Jenkins, and GitLab. Furthermore, the role includes coaching and consulting technical teams to strengthen overall development quality, making strong communication and leadership skills essential.

Required Skills

Education

Completed Diploma or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable field

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Lead Developer in complex IT projects
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Java EE, GitLab, Eclipse, Docker, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, JSON
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Microservices, Software-System-Design and DevOps
  • 3 years of experience in Test Automation, Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment
  • 3 years of experience in Cloud Environments (e.g., AWS) and Cloud Architecture
  • Experience with modern databases in a Cloud environment (e.g., PostgreSQL, S3)
  • Experience with asynchronous processing and queueing mechanisms (e.g., ActiveMQ)
  • Professional experience, preferably in the logistics industry
