Job Summary

This role involves specialized technical work within the Institute for Neuroradiology at the TUM Klinikum, focusing on electronics, mechatronics, and precision mechanics in a scientific setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of complex scientific equipment, particularly two-photon microscopes and electrophysiological measuring devices. A key part of the job is collaborating with scientists to construct simple electronic and precision mechanical devices, alongside performing basic programming tasks. Candidates should possess a background as an Information Electronics Technician or equivalent, ideally with a Master's certification in Information Technology, coupled with extensive experience in handling, building, and maintaining scientific electronic and mechanical apparatus. This is a full-time or part-time, fixed-term position (6 months) offering a unique opportunity to work in a demanding, interdisciplinary environment located in the heart of Munich.

Required Skills

Education

Information Electronics Technician training or comparable qualification; Master Information Technology Technician is desirable.

Experience

  • Several years of experience in handling and constructing precision mechanical and electronic scientific devices
  • Several years of experience in the construction and maintenance of two-photon microscopes

  • Must have completed the Laser Protection Officer course (Laserschutzbeauftragter) according to OStrV and TROS.
