Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Hygiene and Environmental Engineer to support public health offices (Gesundheitsämter) across Middle Franconia, Germany, focusing primarily on water hygiene and environmental health matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing expert technical consultation on drinking water supply, swimming pool water treatment, and bathing water hygiene. The engineer will conduct site inspections of water supply systems, bathing waters, and pools, review technical plans related to water hygiene, and ensure compliance with statutory reporting obligations for drinking and bathing water. Key qualifications require a degree in Engineering, preferably in Environmental, Supply, Process, Food Technology, or Civil Engineering. The ideal candidate should be willing to acquire comprehensive technical expertise, possess good IT skills, and be ready for fieldwork, requiring a Class B driver's license.
