Job Summary

This role, situated in the Information Security and Data Protection department of the Salzgitter AG holding company, focuses on establishing and maintaining robust data protection standards across the group. The Data Protection Officer will be responsible for developing technical and organizational minimum requirements for data privacy in collaboration with the security organization, building a comprehensive Data Protection Management System, and establishing standardized, group-wide processes and tools. Key responsibilities include conducting data protection audits, supporting incident handling, performing risk assessments, and providing internal consulting to subsidiary companies on implementing privacy-relevant measures. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Business Informatics, Economics, or Computer Science, possesses professional experience in technical data protection, and demonstrates strong conceptual, analytical, and communication skills to effectively promote data protection awareness and training throughout the organization.
