Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced System Engineer dedicated to ensuring the stable and reliable operation of complex, heterogeneous server environments, covering Linux, UNIX/Solaris, and Windows systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include system administration, analyzing and resolving both hardware and OS-level software disturbances, and executing planned updates and maintenance cycles. You will operate within a development and production-adjacent environment, requiring a strong understanding of networking and infrastructure topics to accurately classify and escalate issues. Success in this position requires a completed IT qualification and proven professional experience managing these diverse server landscapes, coupled with expertise in operational processes like Incident, Problem, and Change Management. The position demands strong communication skills, a structured approach, and mandatory fluency in German (C1 level) to collaborate effectively with internal teams and serve as the primary technical contact for the client, working predominantly on-site in the Nuremberg region.
