Job Summary

This role involves pioneering research within the DEGMOT project, focusing on developing biodegradable, environmentally friendly catalytic silica-based nanoparticles to combat microplastic pollution in water. The successful candidate will be responsible for the synthesis of porous micro- and nanoparticles with tailored morphologies and the development of catalytic nanomaterials for innovative environmental applications. Day-to-day tasks include advanced characterization and analysis of these materials using sophisticated techniques such as FTIR, SEM, TEM, DLS, TGA, and RAMAN. Key requirements include a completed doctoral degree in Chemistry or a related field, expertise in synthetic chemistry with a focus on nanomaterial design, and strong communication skills. Required Skills

Doctoral degree (PhD) in Chemistry or a related field

Experience

  • Experience with advanced nanomaterial characterization techniques (FTIR, SEM, TEM, DLS, TGA, RAMAN)
