Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position involves taking responsibility for the conceptual development and strategic direction of the entire IT infrastructure for the municipal administration and its external offices. Day-to-day tasks include the procurement, installation, and configuration of hardware and software, alongside the administration and maintenance of servers and central applications, particularly within a virtualized server environment. The role is crucial for user support, handling client management, first-level support, and managing licenses and user permissions. Candidates must possess completed vocational training as an IT Specialist in System Integration or an equivalent qualification. Ideal candidates bring proven knowledge in administering Microsoft systems (Active Directory, Windows 10/11, Exchange, SQL, VMware) and are proficient in network technologies (Routing, Switching, VLAN, VPN) and security protocols. This is a varied and responsible role offering flexible working hours and the stability of a public service contract (TVöD) within a motivated team in Hügelsheim.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, specializing in System Integration, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in IT system administration
- Foundational knowledge in the administration of Microsoft systems, servers, and server applications (or willingness to acquire this knowledge)
- Familiarity with network technologies (Routing & Switching, WLAN, VLAN, VPN) and security protocols
