Job Summary

This role is perfect for a highly motivated Scientific Associate to contribute to patient-oriented diagnostics within molecular (hemato-)oncology and somatic genetics in Hannover, Germany. You will be instrumental in creating diagnostic reports based on state-of-the-art technology, directly influencing individualized therapy plans. Day-to-day tasks involve analyzing Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Liquid Biopsy data, evaluating somatic variants according to established classifications (WHO/Tier), and actively optimizing NGS analysis pipelines. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Biology or a related natural science, possesses experience in molecular diagnostics, and is proficient with specialized genetic databases and Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS). This is an exciting opportunity to drive the future of genetic diagnostics, work within certified quality management systems (ISO 9001/15189), and contribute to the scientific advancement of the amedes group.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Biology or a comparable natural science study program. A PhD is welcome but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Professional experience in (hemato-)oncological or molecular pathological diagnostics
  • Expertise in molecular biological and genetic procedures, especially NGS
  • Experience working with peripheral blood, bone marrow, and FFPE samples
  • Experience in creating diagnostic reports considering therapeutic options (ideally)
