Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional to lead and develop the IT Operations team (7-8 employees) for an international high-tech company specializing in semiconductor and mask technology based in Dresden. The Manager will hold overall responsibility for the stable 24/7 operation and continuous development of the critical IT infrastructure, including network, Linux/Windows servers, storage, and central services, within a high-availability production environment. Key responsibilities involve ensuring system availability, performance, and security, actively managing IT infrastructure projects, and driving the modernization and optimization of the existing IT landscape through automation, standardization, and the adoption of modern platforms and DevOps approaches (CI/CD, Cloud). The ideal candidate brings a university degree in IT, at least five years of experience operating critical systems—ideally in the semiconductor industry—and proven leadership skills, coupled with technical expertise to act as a sparring partner for developers and administrators. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, project management competence, and excellent German and English proficiency for collaborating with international teams.
