Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity for a scientific researcher, potentially pursuing a PhD, focusing on the cutting-edge field of bioelectronic sensors within the Embedded Systems division at a leading microsystems technology research institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced electrochemical measurements on ferroelectric microelectrode arrays and performing neurophysiological experiments on cultured cells. Key activities include presenting and publishing research findings at scientific conferences and in peer-reviewed journals, as well as collaborating closely with internal and external partners from industry and academia. Candidates must possess a strong academic background (Master's degree) in relevant fields like Electrochemistry or Biosensorics, ideally coupled with practical lab experience in electrical characterization techniques such as impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree (with above-average success) in Electrochemistry, Biosensorics, Microsystems Technology, Materials Science, or related disciplines. Opportunity to prepare for a PhD.

Experience

  • Successfully completed Bachelor's and Master's degree with above-average results in relevant disciplines
  • Experience in electrical characterization of microelectrodes using impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry (Ideally)
  • Experience in practical laboratory work with chemicals, biomolecules, and aqueous electrolytes (Desirable)
