Job Summary
This role involves working on the commissioning and functional testing of modern rail vehicles at a major industrial company in Salzgitter. Day-to-day tasks include testing vehicles according to detailed instructions, independently establishing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic functions, and performing complex troubleshooting. You will use circuit diagrams and technical specifications to diagnose and resolve faults related to electrical, pneumatic, software, and climate systems. Key requirements include a background as an Electrician/Electrical Technician and comfort working in technically demanding environments, including confined spaces and at heights. Required Skills
Education
Completed training as an Electrician with further training as an Electrical Technician or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in rail vehicle testing and commissioning
- Experience in establishing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic functions
- Experience in complex fault diagnosis (Electrical, Pneumatic, Software, Climate)
- Experience working with electrically active components
Languages
Additional
- Ability to work in confined spaces (e.g., control cabinets, equipment containers); Ability to work at heights up to 4 meters (roof work platforms); Willingness to work in varying forced postures and occasionally outdoors.
