Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Laboratory Technician or a career changer with laboratory experience to join the AGROLAB GROUP, a leading European analytical laboratory specializing in food, agriculture, environmental, and water analysis. Based in Kiel, the technician will primarily focus on conducting microbiological culture procedures for various water sources (drinking, bathing, waste water), compost, and sewage sludge. Key responsibilities include performing biotests using fish eggs to determine wastewater toxicity and maintaining the aquariums for the zebrafish. The ideal candidate must possess a completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or equivalent qualification (BTA, UTA, MTA, etc.), demonstrate hygienic and sterile work practices, and ensure accuracy and quality in routine tasks. This position offers a secure, permanent contract and the chance to contribute to socially relevant and sustainable services within a supportive team environment, though it requires flexibility for occasional early/late and rotating weekend shifts.
