Job Summary

This role involves specialized technical material management, focusing heavily on compliance, classification, and data integrity within an engineering environment. The Technical Specialist will independently handle the classification and assignment of customs tariff numbers, requiring personal certification, and manage the assignment and maintenance of GTIN and GS1 numbers. A core responsibility is the evaluation, selection, and implementation of replacement materials for obsolete components in devices and systems. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining and ensuring the quality of material master data, strictly adhering to legal and normative requirements (such as REACH and RoHS). You will also provide expert technical support and consultation to development departments regarding material-related issues, assist in material registration, and contribute to cost estimations for development and modification processes. This position is ideal for someone with an electrical engineering background, SAP knowledge, and a strong understanding of electronic components seeking a role where technical expertise meets regulatory compliance.
