Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Life Science professional to take on the scientific and operational leadership of a part-time (50%) S2 Laboratory located within the Bio Campus Cologne. The role involves managing the shared lab facilities for startups and SMEs in the Life Science sector, ensuring strict compliance with regulations (including ArbStättV, BioStoffV, GenTSV, etc.). Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising operations, advising teams on assay development and workflows, developing and executing research projects for lab tenants, and conducting specialized seminars and workshops with technology partners. The ideal candidate possesses a Master's or PhD in a relevant field (Biology, Life Science, Biotechnology), has at least three years of experience in S2 laboratories, and demonstrates strong all-round skills in cell culture, microbiology, and protein synthesis, coupled with an interest in lab automation and smart workflows.
