This role involves joining existing project teams focused on functional safety within railway applications, specifically developing pioneering, safety-critical system solutions. The core focus is on the safety and reliability (RAM) of highly complex electronic systems. Day-to-day tasks include developing concepts and executing crucial analyses such as FMEA, hazard analyses, and fault tree analyses, while ensuring development projects comply with relevant standards. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics, possesses strong analytical skills, and is interested in complex technical solutions within railway signaling or rolling stock technology. This position offers a permanent contract, flexible working hours, mobile work options, and the possibility of working fully remote after successful onboarding, making it an attractive opportunity for safety-focused engineers.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Experimental Physics, or comparable field
Experience
- Professional experience in system or software development (Ideally)
- Experience in performing availability and reliability calculations (Ideally)
- Experience with analysis methods (e.g., Hazard Analysis, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis) (Ideally)
- Initial contact points with relevant standards (EN 5012X) (Ideally)
- Initial knowledge of train control systems (ETCS, PZB, or LZB) (Ideally)
