Job Summary

As a Switchgear Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in Germany's energy infrastructure, focusing on the planning and realization of switchgear and substations for high and extra-high voltage levels. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include primary technical planning, designing substations, performing calculations (e.g., short-circuit, lightning protection), and creating detailed planning documents for installation teams. You will utilize CAD software like AutoCAD 3D or Primtech, act as a key contact for on-site colleagues regarding technical queries and material orders, and ensure project quality and compliance. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer eager to contribute to the safety and efficiency of power grids and actively shape the future of energy technology within a dynamic team.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (with focus on Energy Technology preferred), or Technician (m/f/d) in Electrical Engineering/Energy Technology, or comparable technical qualification in Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • • Professional experience in planning high and extra-high voltage systems, especially primary technology, is advantageous
