Job Summary

This role involves managing extensive topics concerning urban climate and emission control within the scope of municipal development planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning, supervising, and evaluating complex expert reports related to noise protection, air quality control, and urban climatic aspects. You will serve as the primary contact person for urban climate issues, actively contributing to the implementation of the city's climate protection concept as it relates to emission control. Furthermore, you will represent the interests of emission control across various internal and external projects, including noise action planning and air quality control planning. Candidates must hold a completed university degree in Environmental Protection, Environmental Technology, or a related engineering field, coupled with fundamental knowledge of relevant technical regulations (BImSchG, BauGB) and strong negotiation skills.

Education

Completed university degree in Environmental Protection, Environmental Technology, Environmental Sciences, Emission Control, or comparable engineering fields

Experience

  • Professional experience in environmental protection or emission control engineering
  • Fundamental knowledge of acoustics, air quality control, and urban climate issues
  • Experience in applying relevant technical regulations, standards, and laws (BImSchG, BauGB)
  • Experience in commissioning and evaluating expert reports
