Job Summary
This role is for a proactive Deputy Technical Manager eager to actively shape and manage the technical operations of a highly modern cold storage and logistics facility in Hamburg. The successful candidate will support the Technical Manager in daily operations, gradually taking on independent responsibility for ensuring the 24/7 reliable operation of advanced freezing, refrigeration, climate, and building control systems. Key responsibilities include supervising the technical team, planning and executing maintenance, troubleshooting complex refrigeration system failures, and optimizing processes for energy efficiency and plant availability. The ideal candidate possesses a background in refrigeration, electrical, or mechanical engineering, ideally with a Master Craftsman/Technician qualification or initial leadership experience, coupled with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach to technical management.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in Refrigeration Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Building Services Engineering, or comparable field. Master Craftsman (Meister) or Certified Technician (Techniker) qualification is ideal.
Experience
- Professional experience in maintenance and repair of refrigeration systems, building technology, and conveying technology
- Initial leadership experience (ideally, or equivalent qualification)

- Willingness to participate in on-call duty (Rufbereitschaft).
