Linux System Administrator / DevOps Engineer | Informatiker (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role is the backbone of IT services for a NetCologne subsidiary, focusing on bridging classic administration with modern DevOps approaches. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and optimizing virtual servers (Linux/Windows), driving modernization using Proxmox and Kubernetes, and managing complex school infrastructures including Identity, SSO, and Learning Management Systems like Moodle. Day-to-day tasks involve ensuring high availability for e-commerce environments, optimizing network infrastructure and firewalls to maintain security, and increasing efficiency through automation via CI/CD pipelines and tools like Ansible/Terraform. The position requires a degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT qualification, profound experience in Linux server administration, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, firewalls).
