Job Summary
This role is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Food Chemist to join the Institute for Food Quality at LUFA Nord-West, an accredited service laboratory in Oldenburg. The position, initially a one-year fixed-term contract covering parental leave, requires the professional to focus heavily on regulatory compliance. Key daily tasks include the food law assessment of labeling and analytical results, preparation of expert reports, and providing dedicated customer support to manufacturers and commercial clients regarding food law matters. The successful candidate must possess a degree in (Food) Chemistry, preferably with state certification as a Food Chemist, coupled with strong analytical skills, expertise in food law, and proficiency in laboratory software and LIMS. The role offers a secure public service environment, flexible working hours (full-time or part-time, minimum 25 hours/week), and integration into a dedicated, forward-looking team.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in (Food) Chemistry, preferably with state certification as a Food Chemist, or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the food law assessment of labeling and analytical results (required if state certification is absent)
- Experience in the organization of laboratory procedures (advantageous)
