Job Summary
This critical role seeks an Offensive Security Expert to bolster cybersecurity defenses, primarily within the health sector. The expert will be responsible for investigating complex cybersecurity incidents, deriving well-founded recommendations, and developing effective countermeasures. A core function involves understanding current cyber threats, recognizing vulnerabilities, and applying an attacker's mindset to conduct non-intrusive security tests. Day-to-day activities include acquiring new knowledge about threat actors, documenting lessons learned from incidents, and contributing to regular IT security situation reports. The position requires a technical degree in IT Security and at least three years of relevant professional experience, coupled with expertise in offensive security tools and strong analytical abilities. This is a responsible, full-time position in Vienna, offering the opportunity to contribute to national and international security projects and requiring fluency in both German and English.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical studies (University of Applied Sciences, University) with a focus on IT Security or comparable training. Relevant certifications (e.g., SANS, CISM, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, GPEN, OSCP, ECIH) are advantageous.
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in IT Security
- Professional experience, ideally in the health sector
- Experienced handling of Offensive Security Tools and Frameworks
- Working experience in Security Incident Response Teams (SIRT), Security Operation Centers (SOC), or Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERT) (Advantageous)

- Willingness to travel within Austria and the EU. Willingness for on-call duty (weekdays, weekends, and holidays). Willingness to undergo a security clearance according to §55 ff SPG (Austrian Police Act).
