Job Summary

Join Siemens Healthineers as a System Engineer specializing in high-performance X-ray tubes and cooling systems for CT and angiography devices. In this critical role, you will manage the development and support of these complex electrical systems throughout the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process. Day-to-day responsibilities include deep analysis of measurement and test data to validate technical hypotheses, structured root cause identification, and hands-on integration and verification of prototypes in the lab. You will define system architecture, ensure compliance with relevant medical device standards (e.g., ISO 14971, IEC 60601), and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams across mechanics, electronics, software, and quality assurance. This position requires strong expertise in electrical and electronic measurement technology, high-voltage technologies, and systems engineering methodologies, offering a dynamic environment with flexibility for mobile work.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable field, or completed vocational training and further education (e.g., Electrical Engineering Technician) combined with additional professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the development of complex electrical systems
  • Long-term professional experience in Systems Engineering
  • Experience participating in the systematic development process of electrical systems
  • Experience in deriving and checking technical hypotheses based on measurement and analysis results
  • Experience with medical technology standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, MDR) is advantageous
  • Industry experience in medical technology, preferably focused on X-ray applications or imaging systems, is advantageous
