Job Summary

The Deutsche Bahn is seeking a Specialist Officer for Control and Safety Technology (LST) to ensure the safety, reliability, and availability of critical rail infrastructure in the West region (Dortmund, Duisburg, Cologne, or Münster). Day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting and ensuring proper planning and acceptance testing of LST systems, adhering strictly to relevant laws, regulations, and technical standards (EBA, DIN). This role acts as the highest regional authority, providing expert technical consultation to district managers and maintenance heads on complex LST issues, and making immediate decisions on necessary actions to ensure continued operation during safety impairments. The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields, possess the LST Specialist Certification (or equivalent EBA certification), and demonstrate multi-year experience in the maintenance and construction of LST facilities. This position requires strong decision-making, leadership, and communication skills, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the technical standards of the area.
