Job Summary

This role involves developing and managing the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) function within advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), spanning from the initial concept phase through to the Start of Production (SOP). The Function Developer will be responsible for defining the function scope and performance objectives, creating detailed requirements and test cases, and validating the functions through rigorous testing conducted on test benches, in vehicles, or using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) simulations. Success in this position requires a strong background in electrical engineering, vehicle technology, or mechatronics, coupled with initial experience in ADAS, ideally focusing on ACC or longitudinal control systems. The role demands excellent communication skills and a structured approach to project management, working closely with fellow developers, architects, and external customers to deliver cutting-edge automotive safety features.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Technology, Mechatronics, or comparable field

Experience

  • Initial experience with Driver Assistance Systems (ideally ACC/Longitudinal Control)
  • Professional experience in developing and managing functions from concept phase to SOP
  • Professional experience in conducting tests on test benches, vehicles, or HiL
