Job Summary
This key role involves leading the Canal Department for the Ems- und Wörsbachtal Sewage Treatment Plant Association, overseeing the maintenance and new construction of the extensive canal network serving approximately 164,000 residents. Day-to-day responsibilities include acting as the client representative, managing construction supervision, coordinating external engineering firms and contractors, and leading complex projects such as canal cleaning, TV inspection, and rehabilitation. The engineer will also be responsible for generating critical regulatory reports, including self-monitoring and sewage discharge declarations, and contributing to long-term investment planning for the association's committees. Candidates must hold a degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in infrastructure or underground construction, possess initial professional experience in wastewater facility planning or network operation, and demonstrate strong cost awareness and negotiation skills.
