Job Summary
This role is a central point of contact for customers, ensuring technical issues and problems related to high-tech film scanners and digitization solutions are handled competently, reliably, and solution-oriented. The Technical Customer Engineer will provide professional support via phone, email, and remote access, addressing complex technical inquiries and fault reports. Key responsibilities include performing worldwide on-site services, installations, and training for DFT hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate has multi-year experience in professional video and audio technology, a background as an Electronics or Mechatronics Engineer, and strong knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) and Microsoft systems, alongside IT networking fundamentals. This position requires excellent communication skills, fluency in English, and readiness for global business travel and participation in a 24/7 support readiness schedule, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Required Skills
Education
Electronics Engineer or Mechatronics Engineer qualification, or comparable technical knowledge
Experience
- Multi-year experience in professional video and audio technology (ideally)
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, analysis, and testing of hardware and software components
