Job Summary
The Municipality of Arnsdorf is seeking a Head of Finance Department for a part-time (30h/week) position, initially limited until at least March 31, 2027. This leadership role involves overseeing the financial administration, including cash management, financial and asset accounting, and taxes. Key responsibilities include coordinating budget and financial planning, executing and monitoring the budget, managing assets and debt, and handling grant and subsidy matters. The successful candidate will prepare annual financial statements, draft resolutions for political committees, and process appeals. Required qualifications include a degree in economics or finance, or civil service eligibility for general administration, coupled with at least one year of professional experience in public accounting/budgeting or equivalent private sector functions. Strong knowledge of double-entry budgeting (Doppik), tax law, and proficiency in data processing and modern communication technology are essential for success in this demanding and responsible role.
