Job Summary

This leadership role involves spearheading the digital transformation and IT strategy for the city administration of Herrenberg. The successful candidate will act as a key driver for innovation, proactively optimizing processes and ensuring the future viability of the administration's IT landscape. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the entire 9-person IT department (covering administration, infrastructure, support, and kindergarten IT), managing IT operations, and acting as a consultant for other departments on digital projects. A core focus is on strategically expanding network and server infrastructure, modernizing communication systems, and implementing the municipal digital strategy, including a Cloud-First approach. This position requires strong strategic vision, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-responsibility leadership capacity, ensuring secure and stable IT operations while actively shaping the cyber and data security strategy.
