Job Summary
This role involves supporting the administrative team of a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting people with disabilities. The Accounting Specialist will be primarily responsible for accounts payable, including reviewing, coding, and posting incoming invoices. Key duties also include managing service provider billing, settling accounts with cost bearers (such as public authorities), and maintaining accounts and open items. A crucial aspect of the role is acting as a coordinating interface for the insurance service provider and assisting with communication with external parties. The ideal candidate will have a commercial background, professional experience in financial accounting (preferably in the social economy sector), and proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel. This position offers a varied and responsible full-time role (38 hours/week, part-time possible) with reliable working hours and opportunities for professional development.
Required Skills
Education
Completed commercial apprenticeship (e.g., Tax Clerk, Industrial Clerk) or comparable commercial training with relevant further education in financial accounting.
Experience
- Professional experience in financial accounting
- Experience in the social economy sector (desirable)
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems (desirable)
- Knowledge of insurance billing and annual financial statement preparation (advantageous)
